Ahh… sadly the blonde hair didn’t last that long and the powers that be in GMM decided that it was too much and for the MV Ice’s hair is back to black. Don’t get me wrong.. I love the look. AND I can tell you I’m completely in love with his new hair that took 4 hours to do. I dunno why I’ve always been a sucker for the bleached blonde look on Asians.. I mean it’s just not natural but I’ve always loved the ones that had the look maybe its envy because I know I couldn’t pull it off

Ice was in a short movie for Channel 3 that is on my youtube called Sup’ter Strawberry. I will sub it eventually but I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty backed up on my subbing requests, I’ll work on it as soon as I can. But the premise of the story is basically a guy gets discovered and wants to go along with the trend and lies saying that he is actually korean. he becomes a huge hit but then the media calls him on it and he feels horrible about how he brushed aside his mother and disappointed her and he goes back to living his old life. After the press conference for KPN’s Bangkok Music Festival at Emporium, Ice and Aof were being interviewed by reporters and they asked each of them to sing each others songs… here is the result

At a pub even in Ratburi, Ice was going to cover Tattoo Colour’s Chun Ruk Tur, the mic goes out and they aren’t able to get a replacement mic until half way through the song. The reason why I love this clip is because you can see how much energy Ice has and how great he is at entertaining that he doesn’t let a little thing like a mic going out from letting him perform

I’m still trying to recover from jet lag and plus I’m already back to work, but I’ll do my best to get everything out as soon as I can

Ice is 26 today. It’s crazy to think that it’s been about 6 years since I first heard of this boy. Well I guess boy is probably the wrong word. It seems like just yesterday that I was laying on the floor of my room trying desperately to get peak fm to stream properly through ATime’s website. 6 years later, peak fm is no longer a radio station with ATime, and DJ Andy has since moved on to a different station and other projects. But here I remain and here Ice continues to grow.

There are days where I feel like I’m not sure what I’m doing this for. There are days where I feel like I need to do more or maybe nothing at all. I apologize to anyone who relies on me for the most up to date information on Ice on a daily basis. But you see where theres no news, theres nothing to update. I haven’t abandon this site, nor have I abandoned Ice. I’m still here and for as long as I can be, I will continue to be here and I hope you guys will be too.

A few changes… I haven’t forgotten about the At 10 interview sub, I’m still working on it albeit slowly. I’m now doing a lot of different subbing projects, not just for Ice. I’ve started a new blog to keep track of my work. If you’re interested, you can see it here Behind The Subs. I’ll be updating it with posts about how far along I am with different clips, subs, and translations. I’ve changed my display name as well, it will now come up as fan2527 … one of my many aliases, but it’s still me

But enough about me, I’m sure you’re more interested in what Ice is doing right? Well right now he’s just working as normally. Having mini concerts here and there. No other real news updates for projects and stuff… if there is any I’ll come post it right away.

Another reason for lack of updates is probably Ice himself. In the last interview that he gave out he hasn’t been up to much, pretty much just resting and more resting. He’s doing mini concerts here and there, but nothing major right now.

It’s Ice’s 25th birthday and the third anniversary of this site, konmunrukICE.

I still remember back in 2006 when I was trying desperately to learn how to do simple coding just so i could make an English fansite for Ice. Honestly I never thought that I would actually finish, as other attempts to make a website usually failed miserably. But something kept me going and I was able to get a good portion of it done before I flew off to Thailand for my study abroad program. I had stopped working on it for awhile, but when I met Ice for the first time I knew I had to get back on it. I knew that this fan craze that had started since 2003 was not going to die easy. And on Sept 12, 2006 I was able to hand Ice a birthday card and tell him that I was opening an English website for him. Fast forward three years later, through so many ups and downs, here it is. While sometimes neglected, never forgotten.

I want to thank Ice for being who he is, perfectly imperfect, thank you for being the key to opening up my life to a whole different world that I probably never would even know if it hadn’t been for you.

I want to thank all of you guys who visit this site for all your support, for supporting Ice and all that he does.
