About ICE

Sarunyu Winaipanit, otherwise known as ICE, is a singer currently going into his 5th year in the entertainment business. Ice began as a field host for a teen news show called Wake Club and eventually entered into one of the first reality singing competitions in Thailand.  The show was called First Stage Show, Ice eventually won for the last month of the competition singing a song by Jay Jetrin. Once a winner for every month had been chosen the 16 finalist came together and competed against one another.  By the end of the competition Ice was awarded Champ of the Year 2003.

His first single Kon Mun Ruk became an instant hit with the release of First Stage Project 1. Ice then went on to collaborate on special albums such as Sleepless Society 1 (Mon 2 Bai Gub Jai Ngao Ngao) and First Stage Project 2 (Bok Dai Mai).

Ice was hired to act in a lakorn called Duay Rang Hang Ruk for Channel 7 and was given the opportunity to sing the 2nd OST called Glup Mah Dai Mai (which he wrote himself). Staring as the bad guy, Ice became better known to a wider audience and Grammy saw his potential.  After working on his solo album for years, he was finally able to release his first solo album entitled Ice Sarunyu. Kon Jai Ngaai was the first single to be released and became an instant hit and the dance Jat Ja Da Daa has become a favorite dance move throughout Thailand.

Currently, Ice has just released his 2nd solo album called Party On Ice as well as 2 Japanese singles as part of a cross cultural program known as Go Across Asia in which GMM is taking part in. The Japanese singles are translated versions of Kon Jai Ngaai and Yah Len Tua.
